We recently had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Heather and Connor at the Doubletree Hilton. I first met Connor when photographing the Aberdeen University Law Graduation Ball at the Marcliffe Hotel. He must have liked my relaxed and friendly style as he asked me to photograph his up-coming nuptials. I was more than happy to oblige.
The lovely couple had their wedding ceremony at St. Marys Church on King Street in the heart of Aberdeen. The Rev. Elsie Furtune led a beautiful service and after some photos in the grounds of the church we set off for some portrait shots at the beach.
I had the pleasure of meeting the very handsome Angus from Deeside Classic Campers driven by the equally lovely Claire Page. Angus was more than capable of getting up to the edge of the dunes and we managed to get some super photos of Heather and Connor with him. The couple were happy to go down to the water’s edge and we got to get some unusual shots looking back to the Bridge over the Don.
After photos it was back to the Doubletree Hilton Hotel for some much needed refreshments. Following speeches and a delightful meal it was time for cake cutting. Connor had some influence in the cake design, a really unusual Lord of the Rings inspired Lego wedding cake the like I have never seen before. The night was finished off with dance and merriment to the wee small hours.
Many congratulations to both of you. You were a delight to photograph!
