Aberdeenshire Wedding
Being a wedding photographer in Aberdeenshire means I get the opportunity to photograph weddings at some wonderful locations. There are so many beautiful venues on Royal Deeside alone. Woodend Barn in Banchory is a venue that I hadn’t photographed before and was very impressed by. Woodend Barn allows the tastes of the bride and groom to really come to the forefront as they can let their personalities shine in the dressing and personalising of the venue. Cameron and Louise took full opportunity of this when they got married at Woodend Barn. The venue was decorated beautifully with a subtle Harry Potter theming but they still managed to maintain the rustic ambience of the building.
On wedding morning, I met Louise and her bridal party, along with mum and dad at a beautiful cottage out at Ballogie. There was a lovely relaxed vibe as everyone got ready and we got some nice pictures as the hair and makeup was done and gifts were exchanged. Louise had some wonderful bridesmaids that were so helpful throughout the day. They were most attentive as they helped her get ready.
Transport to the venue
The wedding camper van arrived to transport Louise and her dad to Woodend Barn just outside Banchory. My second photographer Sabine was already at the venue to take some shots of the lads. We made good use of the umbrellas as the day got off to a very wet start. The ceremony was beautiful and there were lots of smiles and laughs to capture. The weather didn’t put a damper on things and we managed to nip out between showers to get some stunning shots in the wild garden next to the barn. The boat and pond made a nice feature in a number of the shots.
The reception followed with lovely food and some super speeches. Then, it was soon time for the festivities to be rounded off with the dance. They certainly knew how to party.
It was an amazing day from start to finish and I thank them both for letting me be part of their special day.
All the best for your future together.
Love Toby
